Review of Binary Options Broker GlobalOption
One thing GlobalOption has going for it is a consistent, fairly high bonus cash program. Where they lack some substance however, is in the depth and breadth of their securities offerings. We’ll take a look at all the details of their offerings and let you decide whether they have something of value to offer their clients.
Before I get too deeply into discussing their securities, fee structure, and bonus program, I should mention that GlobalOption recently acquired rival EZTrader, and as a result have dramatically upgraded their platform! Bonus cash now appears to be “vested” after only 3x trading initial deposit + bonus, making it now the best bonus offer available.

Trading Binary Options with GlobalOption
Binary options trading with GlobalOption involves the usual basic structure associated with binary trading contracts, namely an approximately 75% yield on in the money trades and a 10% refund on out of the money contracts. Their yields are pretty much middle of the road for the binary options broker industry. Trading contract lockout occurs 5-10 minutes prior to expiration on hourly contracts (depending on the asset), and 25 minutes prior to expiration on end of day contracts. This latter restriction is a little different from what I have seen in reviewing other binary options brokers. Given the amount of activity that happens in the last half hour of trading I’m not sure I’d want to be holding a naked binary options position with that much time in the day. Something to think about anyway.
Trading Maximums and Minimums
I did not come across any minimum trade amount on their website however given the minimum deposit is $100 I would expect the minimum trade amount to be in the $25-$30 range. Hopefully you’re playing with more capital than that though. Maximum trade amounts are $750 / trade and $1500 per security. This again is middle of the road for the industry. Trades can be made in British Pounds, US Dollars, or Euros – and likewise accounts can be funded in those currencies.

As previously mentioned, GlobalOption allows accounts to be opened denominated in US Dollars, Euros, or British Pounds. Minimum deposit is $100 and no minimum withdrawal. Payments can be funded or withdrawn with Moneybookers, a credit/debit card, or wire transfer ($25 fee on wires). Withdrawals by check carry a fee of $10 plus postage (industry standards). No fee applies to Moneybookers or credit/debit card transfers. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Bonus Cash Offers
GlobalOption has a nice 25% bonus cash offer on deposits, up to $1000 on a $4000 deposit. Withdrawal of funds is restricted however until trading volume of 5 times the amount of the bonus cash plus deposit are reached. This is middle of the road for the binary options broker industry.
Binary Options Securities Offered at GlobalOption
GlobalOption’s recent acquisition of EZTrader’s platform has dramatically beefed up their securities offerings. Whereas previously we had cast a disparaging eye toward GlobalOption due to their thin offerings they now offer one of the broadest.
